This is a day you are going to want to be at The Village Christian Church! A very special guest speaker, Ms. Pearl Willis, will be sharing her story of hope from the inner city of Chicago, Illinois. She is the founder of one of our mission partners, Roseland’s Community Good News Day Care.

Ms. Pearl provides free Christ-centered daycare for children so moms can get an education, work, and provide for their families. Her center is in the Roseland community of Chicago, Illinois. Roseland is located on the south side of the city and is one of the roughest neighborhoods in Chicago. Gangs, drugs, prostitution, murders, unemployment, and hopelessness are prevalent. In the midst of great despair and hopelessness, Ms. Pearl provides a nurturing environment giving encouragement and hope back to this Chicago community.

Ms. Pearl provides a nurturing environment giving encouragement and hope back to this Chicago community. While the moms go to school and/or work, their children are fed and provided with a quality pre-school education. The children learn math, science, social studies, letters and numbers, colors and shapes. There is reading time, nap time, play time, and clean-up time. They’re learning, having fun and are being well cared for. They also learn about Jesus and his love for them. It’s a full day packed with a lot of energy, hope, and love. Ms. Pearl also makes it a requirement for the moms to attend Bible study so they can learn about the Lord.

This special event will feature Ms. Pearl speaking during all 3 services at 8:30, 9:30 and 11 am. Invite your friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, and anyone you can think of to hear her inspiring message!
