If you don’t go further than Thursday or Sunday service, you’re missing out on all that God created for you! Here’s a listing of our groups so you can find one that’s a good fit and connect. Some groups are currently full, but spots may open up so check back if you’re interested.

– Men –

The men's group at The Village Christian Church in MInooka, IL meets every Saturday morning at 7am and is opento all men.Men’s: A group of men meeting before the hustle of Saturday activities begin. They study the Bible from various angles in order to connect, grow in relationship with Christ and each other.

“Men’s group is special like no other group because the honesty level is off the charts. Guys tend to have similar struggles but no safe or healthy place to talk about them. Men’s group is that place. We also have more fun than any other group, guaranteed.” – Patrick, Men’s Group Leader

– Sports & Activities –

Village Games:  A variety of fun games after church from 12pm-3pm for everybody!  Superbowl Sunday- Memorial Day.  We can put a movie or sporting event on the tv’s, kick in on some pizzas and play some games!  No need to RSVP, just show up.


Bought By Blood Motorcycle Lifegroup:  This group is an outreach to the motorcycle community.  Riders support each other to be Godly men and reach out to those that don’t know Jesus. This group will also be involved in a Christian Bikers Unit that helps Illinois Motorcycle Ministries with outreach events and bike blessings.

Men’s group is hosting 2 Euchre events this month. Men’s Euchre on Friday, 4/12 and Co-ed Euchre on Friday 4/19 at 6 pm. You don’t need to attend The Village, so invite friends.

Monday Village Golf:

You’re invited to Monday Golf during the summer. This is for men or women, couples or singles, and is a great way to get to know other Village people.
Cost: $24 for 9 holes + cart or $18 no cart.

When/Where: This group is on break until Summer 2019. Stay tuned for startup info!


Men’s Basketball: The Village views sports ministry as a way to combine fun, a little friendly competition, and a love of sports with building relationships and connecting with others. Come on out, have fun and even get in a little exercise! Cost is $3. No need to commit, just be there when you can! Bring a friend!

Yogavotion: This group is open to all, so bring family, friends, co-workers and neighbors. Light yoga with devotions at The Village. Bring a yoga mat and wear comfortable clothes (no jeans). Childcare is not provided. A signed waiver is required to participate.

Joliet Ladies:  This group of ladies will study the book of Mark.  Children are welcome but no childcare is provided. There will not be food served.

Minooka Ladies: A group of ladies of all ages discussing how the Bible applies to their lives. There are a lot of questions, good discussion, and participation. There will not be food served or childcare offered.

Ladies Craft Group: This is for all ladies that like to craft. The group does different events each month. Please bring a dessert or snack to share.

– Study Groups –

Monday

Bates Group: A group of men, women, couples and singles studying prayer. There is no childcare.

When/Where:  Every other Monday, 6:30 pm in the Minooka area

Divorce Care:  A group for people who are going through a divorce or have gone through a divorce. This group started Monday, 1/28 and will meet for 13 weeks. There is no cost, but registration is required. You can Register here.

Tuesday

Condon: A group of families with young to school-age kids that have dinner together and discuss the Bible and how it applies to their lives. Kids are welcome, childcare is provided with the cost split between families. This group has 17 kids under the age of 6 (soon to be 18), so the chaos and the friendships are special, real and enduring.

Wednesday

Bateman: A group of singles or couples of all ages that discuss the Bible and how it applies to their lives. They rotate homes sharing a potluck meal. Some have school-age kids, some have grown kids, some have no kids! Kids are welcome, but there is no childcare.

When/Where: This group is currently on break. Stay tuned for restart date.

 


McKeen/Johnson:  A group of families meeting weekly to have dinner and discuss scripture and how it applies to their daily lives. There will be no childcare.

When/Where: Wednesdays 6-8 pm in Channahon.

O’Sullivan:  A group for everyone, singles, couples, all ages, anyone who wants to grow in an intentional way. They rotate homes, visit, catch up on the last week and then dig into some of the stories of the Bible.  Kids are welcome, but no childcare will be provided.

When/Where:  Every Wednesday from 6:30-8pm meeting in area homes.

Thursday

Leading Better: A group for men and women of all ages. Whether you are just starting to be a leader, already an experienced leader looking for ways to learn and lead better, or anywhere in between, you are welcome. The group focuses on leadership and growth as they discuss sessions from the Global Leadership Summit and TED talks. The talks cover leading oneself, leading teams and leading organizations. This group will meet once a month.

Pehlke: A group of singles or couples of all ages that discuss the Bible and how it applies to their lives. Kids are welcome, but there is no childcare.

Bonomo: A group of singles or couples of all ages that have dinner together and discuss the Bible and how it applies to their lives. This is a fun-loving group that has a great time together! Kids are welcome, but there is no childcare.

Lifegroups at The Village Christian Church in MinookaSandeno: A group of singles or couples of all ages that discuss the Bible and how it applies to their lives. Childcare is provided with the cost split between the families. They take turns preparing food. Nine adults in this group graduated from Seneca High School! Those are some long-term friendships!

Lifegroups at The Village Christian Church in MinookaPerez/Kuzava: This group studies the sermon series with great discussion following the Sunday message. Once a month they have a potluck meal.  Other weeks they enjoy light snacks. No childcare is provided, but kids are welcome.

Saturday

Empty Nesters:  A group of singles and couples that are in the next season of life that want to be active, fun and hang out with each other. This group has dinner together and figures out how the Bible applies to their lives.

Norman:  A group of young families sharing life and studying the bible. Children are welcome, no childcare is provided.

When/Where:  Every other Saturday, 8-10 am @ a home in Channahon.

Spanish Speaking:  This group will provide an opportunity for people who don’t know English, or speak it as a second language, to learn about Jesus in a language they understand. Children are welcome, but there is no childcare provided.

Erzinger: A diverse group that loves people right where they are. Discuss books of the Bible and supports, loves and takes care of each other.
