Karl Poulsen

Karl is passionate about investing in the next generation and ensuring every student feels seen, supported, and loved by Jesus. Raised in the Catholic faith, Karl struggled in his teenage years and began to drift from an active relationship with God. Though he never stopped believing, he often lacked the support and community he needed to grow in his faith. In late 2025, Karl and his wife, Mallori, felt called to find a church home where they could pursue their faith together. After visiting The Village Shorewood Campus, they quickly knew they had found the community they had been seeking. Because of his own experiences, Karl is passionate about ensuring that no student feels alone in their faith journey. He desires to create an environment where every student feels welcomed, encouraged, and supported as they grow in their relationship with Christ. Karl and Mallori live in Plainfield with their two daughters. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, fishing, cooking, and spending quality time with family and friends.
