Serve Outside The Church / Missions

Be Part of the Mission

We want to equip you and provide opportunities for you to serve outside the church walls and help others. Helping others is at the core of who we are. In fact, it’s so important that it’s part of our church mission – helping people experience Life Change, Life Growth, and Life Purpose! Life Purpose is all about doing what God created us to do, which is to serve others!

Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.

We want to be an exceedingly generous church giving BIG to help people in need locally, regionally, and globally. Check out Reclaim3d, which exists to reclaim bad circumstances into something beautiful locally, regionally, and globally.

Here Are Ways We’re Helping Others

Local and Regional Missions

But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk, but in deed and truth.

Reclaim3d Banquet and Golf Outing To Invest In Our Communities

This year, our goal for 2024 was to raise $50,000 for Reclaim3d locally so we can invest in our communities each month. We will provide 19 Mobile Food Pantries, back to school clothes for local kids, and help struggling families with rent and utility assistance.

God showed up big time and we are over $72,000 and counting. Thank you to everyone who participated and donated to the annual Reclaim3d event!

    Big Give For Kids

The Village cares about families and looks for opportunities to ease the financial burden of going back to school.

The Big Give For Kids is a 2-day event (August 2-3) for kids to receive free gently used clothes, new shoes and socks.

    Here’s how you can help

    • Clean out your closets and donate the gently used clothes that don’t fit, or you no longer wear. There are designated collection areas at the Seneca and Coal City Campuses and a collection trailer at the Minooka Campus for donations. Please sort clothes by gender and size before you drop them off to help with the set up before the event.
    • Starting July 29 – help sort clothes for the event. It takes a couple days to sort through all the donations and set up for the Big Give and you can be a part of the team!
    • Help families find what they are looking for, help keep the donation tables looking nice and organized or hand out shoes  and socks on August 2 or 3.

    Rescue Sunday Challenge

Slavery is at a global high. We’re talking about child exploitation and trafficking.

We are the church, and we are going to do something about it.  The goal for 2024 is to raise $45,000 and rescue 30 children from human trafficking. We are partnering with Destiny Rescue and Reclaimed to find these children, rescue them, and set them free. This is what the Destiny Rescue Journey to Freedom looks like.

3/17/24 Update – So far $41,000 has been raised. We are so close to reaching our goal!

5/5/24 Update – $45,000 goal has been met! We are praising God for the 30 children who will be free from slavery!
