Give Your Time To Something Big
Serving is key here at The Village – in fact one of the 3 points to our mission is Life Purpose, and we want to equip you to live out your life purpose and serve others. The Meal Pack is an event where we are partnering with Lifeline Christian Mission to pack 100,000 meals to be sent to hungry families in Haiti.
How Can You Help?
- Each meal is $.30 and we are raising $10,000 to pay for those meals. You can donate to Reclaim3d to help us reach our goal.
- Sign up for Round-Up. Gyve’s Round-Up feature rounds up the change from every-day purchases, accumulates it and then donates it to The Village Christian Church. Every purchase made with a card attached to the Round-Up feature adjusts the purchase price to the nearest dollar and collects the difference for donation. Once it accumulates to $20, Gyve makes the donation to The Village Christian Church. The Round-Up donations will be used to help pay for the meals we will pack in November.
- Many companies match employee donations. If your employer offers this benefit, please take advantage so your donation can be multiplied and feed even more hungry people!
- You were designed on purpose with intention and you have an impact in what God is doing. This meal pack is an opportunity to serve Saturday, November 4 at the Minooka Campus.
Packing 100,000 meals in 1 day is a big goal, so this will definitely be a team effort. You can pack individually, with friends, family, your kid’s sports or activity groups, or your Lifegroup. It’s for all ages and is an opportunity to make a difference – you can change everything!
Packing shifts will be 90 minutes long starting at 9 AM, 11 AM and 1 PM. There are easy jobs to do for people of every age group and level of physical ability, even the youngest children can color on the boxes that will be delivered to the people in Haiti.
