We all go through seasons of doubt—seasons where we question our abilities and even our worth. “I’m not good enough.” “There’s no way I can do that.” “Are you crazy? I can’t.”

It’s so much easier to stay in the comfortable, to settle where things feel safe and familiar. But God doesn’t call us to comfort. He calls us to courage. He invites us to step out in faith and live the life He has designed specifically for us. So often, when doubt creeps in, we turn to friends or people around us to validate us—to cheer us on and say, “You’ve got this!” And while encouragement from others is a gift, our first response should be to seek the Lord. He is our ultimate source of truth and strength.

The Lord walks with us in our insecurity and meets us right where we are. We learn this about God’s character in the Bible. In the book of Judges, Gideon is a perfect example. When God called him, Gideon didn’t respond with confidence—he responded with excuses. He told God he wasn’t good enough, and he questioned God’s plan.

But notice this: God didn’t get angry or give up on Gideon. He was patient. He reassured him. Furthermore, He walked with him. That’s the kind of God we serve. And that’s what He does with us.

We are enough—not because of our talents or strengths—but because we are His. He created us to be more than we often believe about ourselves. He sees the potential and purpose in us even when we can’t.

But I’ll be honest—I have to remind myself of this daily. Doubt still creeps in. That’s the enemy trying to distract and derail us. So don’t let the enemy get a foothold. Lean into God. Allow Him to walk alongside you, speak truth over you, and remind you who you are.

Because you are called.

You are chosen.

You are enough—because you are His.
