The Power of One: How One Life Changed Can Change the World
At The Village, we love celebrating when someone says “yes” to Jesus. Because we know that when even one person comes to know Him, everything changes—not just for them, but for the people around them too.
We’ve seen it again and again. One person meets Jesus, and suddenly, light breaks into places that once felt dark. Families begin to pray together. Marriages are restored. Kids grow up with a new example of faith in their home. Friends and coworkers notice something different and start asking questions.
When one person decides to follow Jesus, their story becomes a testimony that can’t be contained. That’s what makes baptisms and faith decisions so powerful—they remind us that God is still changing lives right here in our communities.
Just recently, we celebrated another baptism where someone was invited to church by a close family member. Slowly the relationship grew. They watched. They felt something real. Their story with Jesus began because of what they saw in the person who invited them.
Jesus has always worked this way—through individuals whose hearts are transformed by His love. There are stories from the Bible that tell of this time and time again. The woman at the well told her whole town. Zacchaeus made things right with everyone he had wronged. Paul’s encounter with Jesus led to churches being planted across the world.
He Still Does The Same Today
That’s why we celebrate every single person who takes that step of faith. Heaven rejoices over one, and so do we. Because one person changed by Jesus can change everything.
